⚛️ Quantum principles are the foundational rules that govern the behavior of matter and energy at the smallest scales—think atoms, electrons, and photons. These principles defy classical intuition and reveal a world where probability, uncertainty, and duality reign supreme.

🧠 Core Principles of Quantum Mechanics

Here are the most essential concepts that define quantum theory:

  • Wave-Particle Duality: Particles like electrons and photons can behave both as particles and waves. The famous double-slit experiment shows how electrons can interfere like waves, yet hit detectors like particles.

  • Quantum Superposition: A quantum system can exist in multiple states simultaneously until it is measured. Schrödinger’s cat—both alive and dead until observed—is a thought experiment illustrating this principle.

  • Quantum Entanglement: When two particles become entangled, their states are linked no matter how far apart they are. Changing one instantly affects the other, defying classical ideas of locality.

  • Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle: You can’t precisely know both the position and momentum of a particle at the same time. The more accurately you know one, the less accurately you know the other.

  • Quantization: Energy, charge, and other properties come in discrete packets called “quanta.” For example, light is made of photons, each carrying a fixed amount of energy.

  • Probability & Measurement: Quantum mechanics doesn’t predict exact outcomes, only probabilities. The act of measurement collapses a system’s wave function into a definite state.
